    Desktop doesn't have customization tab?

I would like to have whatever is on my desktop to have different folder options than my other folders, but there doesn't seem to be a customization tab for desktop. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

I'm not sure why there is not a customized tab there it might be because the desktop is it different environment. And I don't think one can be added.
Are you just wanting a different Desktop folder icon? If so it is in the icon folder icon #113 in the imageres.dll in both C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Icons - Change Using Resource Hacker

To properly change a system file you need to take ownership give yourself permission and rename the old file and then copy in the new one look at Post #6 of this thread will tell you how to do it Basic Networking Information

Then doing Icon Cache - Rebuild
