I've changed my desktop background to include personal photos but i can't get them to unstretch and the photos are distorted as a result. On the "change desktop background" screen in the Control Panel I've chosen "center" and then "save changes" but the background does not change. It remains stretched. I've tried "tile" also, no luck there either. What am I missing?
I use Paint.NET to crop and resize the photos I use for my desktop wallpapers, and I keep these files in a folder called "Wallpapers" under the "Pictures" folder.

The patch worked fine on my account on my home PC, but my husband's account area still doesn't adjust properly. I can't install it again and I don't know how to fix the other user account. BTW, I am the administrator for the PC if that makes any difference.
Are we talking about the same physical machine here? If so, then it should work. If you are using an account with administrative privileges and your husband is using one with standard, then log in to your account and temporarily change his account to an administrator one. Log off and then log in to your husband's account. Apply the same patch as you previously applied to your account. Log off, and then log back on ito your account. Reset his account so that it is a standard one again.
That did it - I changed the other account to an admin account, and then downloaded the patch without any problem. Thank you for all your help!
