Text font question within Windows7; What metric to enlarge type

I have been to the section of Win7 personalization where metrics are stored for text display.

If you look at the window options section for borders and such, and select a metric in ("Change Windows colors and metrics" will get you there in the search box) -- everything seems to be in there except the area called window text. Window text is in the illustrated screen area. I can make a screen shot if necessary.

Going to the selections that default at an item called Desktop then right click to open, Window text is not there. An Item called Window (single word) is.

The goal is to have my files and folders show larger in -- Explorer I guess-- and in the network file folders I have in an old style workgroup set up for the home.

I have tried all of the options at the metrics screen but have failed to get a simple folders and files list to display in a larger font.

That text font size is in the .msstyles.

I have a program that can edit it what size of the font do you want?

You will need to do 1 of these 2 ways of Enabling custom themes for it to work.

Ok I'll read over what you have. But that right click on the desktop routine just goes to the same old place of metrics where you can change everything _but_ explorer text, or so it seems.

There's also some difference and themes and such if you select something from the newish display of Windows -- Arcata or whatsits. Way too many kitchen sink options.

Thanks for answering. I'll be looking for something that says do this to make the
    Explorer font larger. No haystack.

The only way I know how to change that text size is to edit the .msstyles, Look at the screenshot below I changed 1 font to size 12.

    ok, so....

go to this themes tab you show.

    Is that in Aero?

    Then at themes what happens?

As I recall I have a non-Aero Windows classic theme on the
    Win7.
