ShellFolderFix - Manage folder window positions/size

It seems that shellfolderfix can't reposition avidemux at its previous location.
But maybe it'due to a missing paraneter ...

I just confirmed the behavior you're seeing on my system as well with Avidemux. The Avidemux window always opens centered and at its default size. This may not necessarily be the fault of ShellFolderFix as certain installed Windows 7 components like Device Manager do the same thing by design.

Thank you for your quick answer. On the Avidemux forum, they said that the location of the screen was not chosen by avidemux but by Windows.

Any updates? After all this years this software is still very good, this is not some kind of redundant, obsolete piece of code. It's hard to believe, but it still very usable.

Will the end of W10 be the end of organizing as we see fit - and why?

Will Shellfolderfix still work on later Windows versions?
I asked Microsoft why the restictions on how we sort our stuff: no response.

Over the years I kept wondering why sorting as we please, where we please, has become more and more restricted.
And now I wonder why we are offered an extra year security updates on W10 after October 14 FOR FREE, PROVIDED we hand our files to Microsoft's cloud - and if those two questions are related, or related to Microsoft going through our files with AI.

With a memory that functions visually, not alphabetically, I would have been lost in chaos of files without Shellfolderfix.
Sadly that thing to disable-auto-arrange stopped functioning with W10 and was not updated.

ShellFolderFix only affects the folder windows, lol.

Finally, you can use the Windhawk mod "Remember Folder Positions" instead of ShellFolderFix. As an additional bonus, it allows you to smoothly surf treeview/navpane along with spatial mode, and does not reposition your window on each change of the directory.

Windhawk mod "Remember Folder Positions" is compatible with Windows 11 ARM. ShellFolderFix is not.

Also, it changes the window positions on window creation, not after the window is shown.
