How would I change the startup screen?

I want to make it look like Windows 95 is starting up. I am feeling nostalgic!

Not without some serious hacking. The boot screens and animations are not customizable. Do you want to change the login screen?

Yeah I knew it would take hacking. Anyone know how? I need either Win 98 or 95 system sounds too.

+1 Rep. Thanks. I have that as my log and I used this: www.angelfire.com/games5/clockmaster/themicrosoftsound.wav for the startup. Got the old Win 95 cloud desktop background and I changed my theme to "classic". I also put a Netscape skin on Firefox. I am good to go! Thanks!

Hitting the print screen button will not register a screenshot while in the login ,but here is what I have so far. Downloaded Winamp as well. What do you think of the first version of AIM? haha Courtesy of Old Version Downloads - OldApps.com. I am going to go further with this. Like changing the program icons to look vintage as well. I still need to change the rest of the system settings.

Glad it worked for you! Nice retro look. I remember using the old Netscape browser back when the browser wars started. Good luck to you!

That looks sexy...is the boot screen animated as well (with the bar moving at the bottom)?

No it is just the login screen with the Win 95 background. Here I made a video.
