Can you give more information on the actual problem - is the icon missing from the shortcut or the .exe file or is the actual shortcut or .exe file missing?

Right click on the shortcut, select properties - there should be a change icon button - this should show a selection of icons available in the executable - if not select browse and navigate to C:\Windows\system32\paint.exe and select the icon you want
