Custom Start button issues Ok so I was able to customize the start button on my Windows 7 Pro x64 box, but I am having two issues:
1. I can not see the customized start button in Remote Desktop it is just blank. (It apears breifly when I do a mouse over).
2. On mouse over only the black box flashes then disapears. This is really anonying.
Please help. I also have attached the bmp I used. | My System Specs |

With Remote Desktop you get the Basic theme, right? The one with no transparency. I think it uses different images from the theme file. You just have to find them and replace them all. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me :) I build all my PCs OS Windows 7 Home 64, Vista Ultimate 64 |

I had it with a few buttons, and i'm not sure how to fix it? Upload it for me and I will fix it, you need to save it as a 32bit bitmap and also I recently found out that the alpha channel is very important and needs to be edited to stop the whole image from becoming too transparent, basically full white in the alpha channel represents no transparency and then all shades of Grey until black represent various levels of transparency and black being full transparency so the area where your actual image is need to be white and the surrounding area needs to be black.
You will need Photoshop to do this but if you don't have I will be happy to help. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew OS Windows 7 Ultimate Vista Ultimate x64 CPU Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16Ghz @ 3.8Ghz Motherboard eVGA 750i FTW Memory 2x2Gigs Patriot PC2-6400 LL Graphics Card Inno3D GeForce GTX260 216 SP Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VW222U 22" 2ms Response time Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard Mouse Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse PSU HYTEC 600W & Thermaltake 650W Toughpower Power Exp Case Thermaltake Armor LCS (Liquid Cooling System) Cooling Liquid Cooling System Hard Drives SATA 150GB

Thanks for the advice...
**edit...I changed it to a 32bit bitmap in photoshop CS3, but all I saw for saving file types after doing so was a portable bitmaps, and I didn't have an option for a standard .bmp
thanks
