Hello Maanse, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can see if manually changing the fonts to the default ones in the tutorial below may be able to help instead of doing a System Restore.

    Hope this helps,

Hi brink, Thanks for the welcome and the quick response.

I have tried following the guide and have changed all the fonts to aerial (standard) and restarted pc but that text still shows as bold.

As i said this happened after uninstalling office 2007 but installing 2010 didnt fix it.....

    Any more ideas???

    thanks again.

Did you also check the ones in OPTION TWO as well?

If so, then a repair install should be able to fix it for you without losing anything.

Yea i did the ones in option 2 aswell, still nothing. Im thinking maybe its not the font that is the problem afterall because if you look at the selection boxes they too are off the screen. So maybe its a scaling issue or something.

If it resorts to a repair install i might aswell do a clean install as ive not got any data on here to loose anyway. Its just a time thing.

Thanks again for the help tho.

    Open regedit and navigate here:\

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Font Management

Are these the default fonts you're missing?

    hi reghakr,

Of that list i am missing Cambria, Consolas and symbol from the fonts folder. Is it possible to drop them in the fonts folder from an XP machine??

    Thanks for the help.

    Maanse,

Running a sfc /scannow command should restore those default fonts in Windows 7 after restarting the computer when it's done.
