How do I make my own Start-Orb?

Hi, I haven't found any answer for this question, so I figured I'd ask.
How do I make my own Start-Orb? Do I just make an icon in the right size, or... ?

Thanks,
ZoffyX

Or try paint.net.Download
Similar to Photoshop, but it is free.
Quite easy to get the hang of. Plus, in their forums, there are free plugins made by users.
