    Increasing Taskbar icon size

    Greetings!

I've been playing around with the new taskbar, I love it , but! I'd like to make the icons a little bigger mostly for the eyecandy, is it possible? my googling hasnt lead me very far and usually I can find things via the all powerfull googlegod but have been unsuccessfull.

    Any help apreciated

No not possible. Only way is to adjust the dpi settings in the control panel, and you do it by:
    1. Type in 'display' and press enter.
    2. Choose the 125% option to make everything bigger.

Yes, it is possible. Right-click on an open spot in the taskbar, and click on Properties, and un-check the "use small icons" tab.

Taskbar - Use Small or Large Icons

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

'Use small icons' feature is already unchecked as standard when you first have it.

It wasn't for me....but mine was already up and running when I received it, so I had the benefit of my uncle's troubleshooting it for a couple months with Win 7 before I got it. He must have checked that box.

When you adjust the DPI settings i mentioned, afterwards type in :
    Code:
    window colors and metrics
into the start search menu, and press enter.
in the drop down menu, select 'Caption buttons'.
On the right hand side, decrease the size until you are happy with the window border size.

thanks for your suggestion Lil'Domii i gave it a go with both settings and found alot of others things distorting the icons looked exactly how i wanted them, yet the systray icons were all pixelated and a few of my other icons were as well, felt like id' taken my 1680 x 1050 resolution and traded in for 640 x 480!!

    Do not want!

i'll keep searching, or just make do like a normal person :P

You sure you restarted when you applied the changes to the caption buttons? Once rebooted it makes the icons sharper in the system tray, and usually elsewhere.
