The SG9 Designs Concept - Alternative Shell for Win7

What is the SG9 Designs Concept?

    • The SG9 Designs Concept is an alternative shell for Windows which completely changes the UI/graphic interface of Windows. It will be built on the CairoShell code which is open source
    • The Concept is based on the Windows 8 Concept mockup i did a few weeks back. (Windows 8 Concept by ~sergiogarcia9 on deviantART)

    Whats needed?

    • I need a great team of coders and testers for this project to work, as i dont know how to code myself yet.
    • Also some graphics Designers will be needed to make this look as good as it can.
    • If your interested in joining the concept, send me a Private Message or contact me via Email. Please include how much experience you got, your previous works on similar etc.
    • Also, i need a person which know HTML and can setup a site for the project, using a template i've done in Photoshop

    Why should i join?

    • Be a part of the team who creates the new Alternative shell for Windows, and get a good experience out of it.
    • If you want any further info please make a post in this thread.
    • Be a part of the team to build onto the CairoShell code and making it better than ever

    Regards.

    Hello :)
This isnt a theme. It's a mockup of a concept i want to bring to life via an alternative shell for windows, which would mean a new graphic user interface.

instead of coding a shell you may want to try starting off with either talisman desktop, or emerge. it'll save you a lot of time.

I tried Emerge, once. It didn't seem to work for me

emerge takes a lot of work to set up properly you have to gather all of the modules. talisman is pretty good and a lot easier to build on but it isn't free. i used to use litestep a long time ago too, but development has more or less stalled the past few years.

I might be mildly interested in a graphic design slot, but I haven't had much in the way of prior experience. I know my way around GIMP fairly well - and that's about it.

EDIT: I have some familiarity with HTML, CSS, and PHP.
