    Adding A Custom Folder To Explorer Navigation Pane


    There are several articles on how to remove existing features/groups from the Windows Explorer navigation pane. Is it possible to add a new folder or shortcut to the navigation pane either by editing the registry to create a new navigation pane entry or to change what a current feature, say favorites, actually points to (in this case C:\Users\user-name\Links)?

    Hello Mulsiphix,

    I'm not sure about that, but you can add them to Favorites in the Windows Explorer Navigation Pane for easy use. The tutorial below can help show you more on this. It's the same in Windows 7 as Vista.
