    How to remove SLEEP from start...


    hi all
    i want to remove sleep from my windows 7 start menu...

    1- i tried to disable it..but this time i saw the HİBERNATE option there

    2- i tried to remove shut-down/sleep/hibernate ...an i did...but didnt like to look for shut-down

    i want to remove sleep (but dont want to see hibernate) and still can Shut-down from start menu...



    is it possible ???

    Hello MadMaxiBo, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You can change the Start Menu power button to have the action of Shutdown to use instead. This way you will not need to use the arrow menu.

    But i already did this... i have to use the arrow to restart the comp...
    And i asked if there is a way to remove sleep choice from there ...i dont want to use sleep accidentally...

    i tried gpedit.msc but couldnt find a way to do it...

    Well, I can see that removing the shutdown options in the Start menu would not work since it removes Restart as well. That is the only way that I know of to remove sleep without disabling it all together.

    You might consider creating a Restart shortcut and pinning it to the Start menu though.
