Change scroll+click on taskbar functionality?

Hello

My question is simple; is it possible to change what happens if you scoll+click a task on your taskbar?

At it opens another instance - which is an utter pointless feature.

I'd like having the same scroll+click functionality that most other programs have, that once you scroll+click the task, you lock it. Just like it would close a tab if you did the same in firefox for instance.

Hi Habitats,

By 'scroll+click' do you mean mouse wheel button/middle click? That's what triggers a second instance for me. I think it's pretty useful for opening a new browser window (for example), but I can see why you would want to change it.

Here's a very basic program called 7 Taskbar Tweaker that gives you a few options for middle-click. Anything beyond that would probably require a registry edit. Maybe someone will come along with them goodies

Cheers,

Been trying it for a day or so, only problem is that I have to have the program running in the background for it to work. Though I rather not have more stuff running in the background.

Wonder if it is possible, like you said, to change this in the registry...
