    Couple of questions

hi guys, hope you can give me the answers i've been looking for.

first of all, is it possible to make the folder background transparent as well as the border?
i know windowblinds has this as an option in some themes, so there must be some kind of dll tweak that can enable it.

second, the annoying preview window....how do i get rid of it completely?
i've tried disabling aero peek, and someone suggested increasing the hover delay registry tweak, but i just want rid of it altogether.

and lastly, if anyone knows anything about reshack, i'm wanting to change the system logos on the system properties screen, but i cant find them in basebrd.dll, anyone know the exact string or location of these logos?

    thanks in advance

for the first question yes some themes can change this have a look here i believe there is one in the list that does as you describe https://www.sevenforums.com/customiza...ttons-177.html or https://www.sevenforums.com/customiza...ws-7-a-12.html

as for your second request imnot sure why the registry trick didn't work but im pretty sure we have a tutorial on that you could check out.

thanks valtonray, but i don't want a theme, i just need to know what settings or files i need to edit to create a transparent background, either through reshack or regedit.

There's a software in one of GRiM's themes..It called FullGlass..It enables aero glass effect on folders. If that's the one you're looking for..I'm afraid you have to ask Mr GRiM himself for the software.:)

To disable aero peek, there are 2 methods.

    1) Right click on your taskbar and navigate to properties.Under the taskbar tab, uncheck "Use aero peek to preview desktop".Click apply then Ok.

    2) Right click on your computer icon on your desktop and navigate to properties.Click on Advanced system settings on the left side panel.Click on settings in the "Performance" section.Uncheck "Unable aero peek".Click apply then ok.

See if any of these methods works for you.

This works only with black backrounds. So you need a black VS.
