Windows 7: Auto-pin through

Auto-pin through

I would like to use Group Policy settings in place of the now non-existent "Copy to default user" profile option.

I do not want the existing allow "all or nothing" settings in Group Policy. I want to standardize the start menu and the taskbar for all users. What if I wanted to make an adm file that would force users to have certain items in the start menu, and for me to hide some items (but not all of them) under "All programs." It would be best if these items could be hidden from the user instead of deleted.

I can make the adm file. It is only a matter of figuring out which registry items correspond to the start menu items for all users. Example: I would like to have Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access shortcuts pinned to the first page of the start menu for all users only. Is this realistic? Your thoughts?
