Windows 7: Animated Wallpaper

Is there a way to get moving or animated wallpaper for windows 7? Thanks

If I'm not mistaken VLC which is free can do this too. I think people used this as a replacement to Microsoft Dreamscene

I'm confused how exactly does VLC give you an animated wallpaper?

Download VLC Media Player and open any video in it.
Right click on the video and click on "Wallpaper"

That's it. You have an animated wallpapers now!

If don't see the wallpaper option:
Settings > Preferences > Video > Output Modules > Direct X
Check the Advanced Options box in the bottom right hand corner.
Check Enable Wallpaper Mode. Now when you right click on your videos, you should be able to see a Wallpaper option.

Video Looping:
Settings > Preferences > Playlist >Repeat All

For removing VLC from the taskbar
Settings > Preferences -> Interface -> Main Interface -> wxWidgets and uncheck Taskbar and enable Systray icon.

For me VLC Media Player not working good under Windows 7 (I have black desktop),under Vista it worked so I recommend use commorcial programs -apart famous DeskScapes there is also another good program DreamScene Video Wallpaper,patch from mydigitallife.info have incorrect done installer (it doesn't work even if UAC is off for x64 system,it work only for x32 system) and it include only modules for x32 system (everybody can check it when unpack installer in 7-zip and use Dependency Walker) -image -I do not recommend this patch,it will never work on x64 systems



Instead there is another great DreamScene patch both x32 and x64,easy to install and use
