How to add the show desktop shortcut to the taskbar

I'd like it on the left next to the start button.
I know how to enable the quick launch bar and this includes it but the icons are really small and i don really need anything else over there.
I have the short cut that was posted on this forum and was wondering if there is a way of pinning it to the taskbar on its own.

    Thanks for any help.

    Dave.

    Hello Dave,

The taskbar already has the Show Desktop feature built into it if you wanted to use that option instead.

Unfortunately, that shortcut can only be pinned inside the pinned Windows Explorer taskbar icon, or in the Start Menu pin area.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Thanks Shawn.
I know the shortcut is there but i find it a pain having to go all the way over to the right just to use it. I guess im just used to it being on the left where all the action takes place.

I think i might just stick with the Quick launch bar for now then.
Do you know of anyway to make the icons bigger? I can adjust the pinned icons but not the QL ones.

    Thanks again.

    Dave.

You can just change the view settings on the quick launch to show large icons, or just make a new toolbar and just place the show desktop shortcut in it and change the view setting to large icons and place that on the left side next to the start button.

Thanks. Thats exactly what i was looking for.
Although I already had the quicklaunch tool bar i couldn't resize the icons to match the pinned ones. i didn't see the large/small option before but i think I was just clicking on the wrong part of the task bar.

    Have a beer on me.

EDIT: Mr Grim. Is that a "real" RC1 you have? I know it was due on 9th April.
