    Appearance


    Hi. can anyone help me re-set the general appearance on Windows7. I moved up from XP and was really impressed by the original screen layout or more particularly the left hand Start menu which was permanently on view but now is only activated by clicking windows symbol. I am unsure when the original screen layout, which I suspect is similar to Vista, changed but suspect it happened when I had to do a system restore following corruption of my Boot sector. I appreciate this is a very basic issue but I have searched and can find nothing in the tutorials. Any advice appreciated. Jak

    I have not seen a start menu that 'sticks' open all the time - perhaps you had a stuck windows key that is now unstuck?
