A few questions
1) Is there any way you can remove the 'grid' on the desktop and in files? What I mean is, when you mouse over things it highlights a square behind it and when you drag things it snaps to a square, like the files are all on a huge grid. Is there any way to remove the highlighting and let you move files to any location like in Windows XP?
2) When I drag and drop a file from one folder to another, instead of cutting it from the one file and pasting it into the other, it copies the file(s), so instead of moving the file from one place to the other I end up just copying it and having the original in the same place. Any way I can make it cut instead of copy itself?
3) Is there a way you can change the font in the sticky notes program?
4) Is there a way you can make the left-hand side of the start menu a color other then white without downloading any custom themes or anything?
5) Is there a way you can change the background color of windows explorer?
EDIT: On this note, is there also a way you can change the color of the two toolbars in windows explorer? (The file, edit, view, etc. one and the Organize, Burn, New folder, etc. one)
6) In the start menu and login screen, where it displays the users profile picture, is there a way you can change the color of the border/padding around the picture? It's blue by default which looks really bad with my picture.
7) In folders, if I want to move a file to another location inside the same folder (like when you drag items in the start menu around to place them on top or bottom, and change the order) it wont let me move them. This is really annoying because I just upgraded from XP and the folders are organized differently in this and I cant move them to where I am used to them being. For instance if in a folder, a subfolder or file is at the bottom of the window, I cant drag it to the top and have it stay there. (Sorry, confusing question)
8) Can you remove the tooltip that pops up when mousing over the start menu icon, without removing all tooltips?
9) Is there a way you can get the start menu to cascade when you select all programs, and have the folders within all programs also cascade? just like in XP. Thanks.
Thank you all ahead of time, I know it is a lot of questions to answer. I appreciate the help. I also had a few other minor questions to ask you guys but I forgot what they are; If I can remember them, I will ask. Thanks! :)
