    UXTheme Repair

I crashed my PC replacing the UXTheme files (that allow you to use custom themes) and I was wondering where I could find the original Windows 7 64bit UXTheme Dlls, those being:
    shsvcs.dll, themeui.dll, and uxtheme.dll
that way I can fix them in a linux partition I have that I use for repairs. Thanks in Advance.

    Hello Matt,

You can use the tutorial below to help you extract these files directly from your Windows 7 installation DVD. Afterwards, you will need to take ownership of your current ones first to copy and replace them with the ones you extracted.

Extract Files from Windows 7 Installation DVD

    Hope this helps,

Crap. I don't have an installation DVD here . My notebook didn't come with the Windows 7 DVD. I know where I get my hands on one *cough* but I don't want to have to go that far. So I just tried booting off the system repair disk and just running startup repair.... no luck. Is there anything else I could do?

Do you have a friend that has a retail Windows 7 installation disc that you can borrow to extract the files that you need?

If not, then what edition of Windows 7 do you have installed?

No, I don't (unfortunately(that was my first thought before the repair disc)). I currently have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
