    change position of start-symbol

    hey guys,

is there any possibility to change the location of the start symbol?

I use win 7 and have the taskbar on the left side.
Now the start-symbol is located on top.
Does anyone know how i can change the position of the start-symbol to the bottom?

    Thanks in advance!

as i already mentioned in my opening post i have the taskbar on the left side.
for some reason i just don't like having the start-symbol on top there. hard to explain..
it would make me feel more comfortable if i had it on the bottom left...

Maybe there is an existing theme which makes this possible?

I think you will find that all the different themes that are available are color and background image variations. The task bar appears the same in all. Be careful you don't loose the start icon altogether.

    Hi difikkiano !
Dont know whether it is possible in windows, but if you use objectdock , you may place a staart button there. just add a start menu docklet, and place it in the dock. Though the taskbar start button still would be in its place

Hello Difikkiano, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You could use the "Start Killer" program as described in the bottom part of the yellow TIP box in the tutorial below, then use the Start Menu shortcut in the same tutorial to pin to your taskbar instead at a different location.

    Hope this helps,

    thanks for your replys.

that's not 100% what i wanted, cause when i pin the startmenue.exe file to the taskbar, i can't pin it to the bottom because there is the systemtray.
i guess i will have to switch to arabian windows if i want to have it like that

You could use the method in the tutorial below to place the shortcut in the new folder, unlock taskbar, pin the new folder as a toolbar, right click on dotted lines and uncheck "Show Text" & "Show Titile", click on "View" & "Large Icons", and leave it on the far right side (bottom with taskbar on the sides).
