    Contacts

I want Contacts to permanetely show the "Preview pane" in the right panel of the display; however, when I open Contacts each morning, the Preview pane is missing. Also, the vertical line for the right panel is way over to the left-center of the screen. How can I fix this?

Hello DLK, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are you referring to in the C:\Users\(user-name)\Contacts folder, or in some email client program (ex: Windows Live Mail)??

You should be able to turn on the preview pane and have it always be on until turned off. However, the preview pane on or off status is universal in all Windows Explorer windows. You turn it on/off in one window, it will be on/off in all windows.

You can move your mouse pointer over the pane's line until it turns into a double arrow pointer. While it's a double arrow pointer, left click and hold, then drag the line to the left or right until you have it where you like it.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
