    How can i COMPLETELY remove a system image?

    Just go to the location you saved it, right-click on the WindowsImageBackup folder, and delete it.

    If I understand you correctly this should do it.

    Click Start -> Search: Backup -> Open "Backup and Restore" -> Click "Manage Space" -> Delete

    At the bottom there (below "Backup location"), there should be two other sections called "Data file backup" and "System image." There should be an option to Delete any backups you currently have on your drive.

win7 system image backup problem
in Backup and Restore

i just ran the win7 systems image bu first time. completed and created recovery disk. message said completed. when i look at my external hard drive, the created file contains 0 bytes; this doesn't seem right to me based on previous imaging software I have used. what should i do?
