    icon size in explorer windows

I find even the smallest icon in an explorer window to be too large leaving a large spacing between file name text. I can't find anyone else having raised this issue so far? The icons are larger than in XP resulting in fewer file entries for a given window size

    Hi DaiB,

There are a number of things you could be referring to here. Could you please post a screenshot so we can see exactly what you mean?

    Hi

Thanks for your reply. I have attached a typical window screenshot. I'm referring to the yellow folder icons which determine the file details spacing and which I find are larger than needed but are the smallest that can be set using the display slider. I can't find any other setting under 'Personalization' that could further change these icons?

    Thanks
    David

I see what you mean now. Unfortunately if that's as small as they go on the slider, you may be out of luck - unless there's some kind of registry edit that would work. Hopefully someone else can chime in who has more experience doing that sort of thing. Good luck...
