Take some of that medicine Jimbo. I'm a doctor and I hereby prescribe some to you. You are excitable. lol
I agree with you on the "sneakware" but still think you need something to help you stay calm.

I personally prefer Linux to be totally honest, but I'm a HUGE gamer, so windows is a needed install, but I really need to have multiple desktops when I am in windows, as I do a ton of things all at once, and I'm so used to having multiple desktops, that it's hard to be as productive once you get used to it, you never realize how useful it is, until you have it, and then don't.
If you want a desktop cube application for windows seven look up and download the trial to deskspace. its and amazing program works like the desktop cube feature in Ubuntu. and its really cool because you can set different wallpapers to different sides of the cube.
But for the wobbly windows i havent found anything yet that actually works as well as the Ubunutu one.

I use linux primarily for internet browsing and for file recovery on infected computers. For some applications windows 7 isn't even in the same league as the current distribution of ubuntu. Some of the media editing software that's available for ubuntu is far more efficient than anything that's available for windows. Syncing 40 GB of music and videos to an IPOD takes about 15 minutes in linux, as opposed to 30-40 minutes using Itunes. I also happen to like the way everything is free and completely customizable. A few tweaks can make the KDE desktop nearly identical in appearance to windows 7, or OSuX for that matter. Many of the applications available for windows have free equivalents in linux. I don't particularly care for the cube desktop, but it would be nice to have multiple desktops available, especially when I'm trying to do 20 things at once.
i recently stumbled across a really easy to use easy to configure not so intricate cube program for windows im a big fan of the cube and of the windows animation for ubuntu i think its amazing ne way the program is called (yod'm 3d) exactly like that i found it on the rocket dock website under misc
