    please just force shut down

    Hi
I use auto-shutdown quite often, I tend to watch stuff on my comp before i go to sleep, sometimes i need to finish downloading/rendering...etc when i go away.
Always when it initiates shutdown it finds something that just needs those extra two clicks to be shut down. It happens with any application that thinks that currently opened file was not saved after changes were made in it, with firefox and since i installed bunch of gadgets (Auto-shutdown, Q's DriveInfo, Volume control, Network Meter) it always says that sidebar is preventing it from shutdown.

Is there any way to set up windows 7 so that it simply automatically forces shutdown on things that won't turn themselves off? In XP it waited bunch of seconds for applications that had problem shutting down and then it simply got turned off, I don't understand it, do those people at ms have a rule by which they can't just improve things they always have to mess up needlessly something?

please any tip or advice is welcome

thanks a lot for reply but unfortunately it didn't change anything, it did change the settings in the registry but still says the sidebar prevents shutting down and waits until i click on the force shutdown and confirm it.

just thought i'd share the solution i found -
I installed autostarter vista gadget and used it to execute a script for force shutdown by WindowsStar that i found here: disable " Force Shutdown" confirm in windows ultimate
seems to be working fine so far
and the sidebar problem seems to be caused by the Q's DriveInfo gadget not absolutely sure though
