    Taskbar Right Click? Classic way?

Anyway I can get this back to the old style of right clicking to see maximise, minimise, size move restore and not the way they have done it in W7?

i don't think you can.. you can change how it combines the icons.. you can click taskbar, properties, and choose Only Combine when taskbar is full.

but the right click will stay the same i think.

I've been hoping to get a permanent way to keep the classic right click menu also. When you've got it to never group, the new right click menu becomes slightly useless... time to get Googling me thinks!

    Same problem

I'm also looking forward for a solution of this problem. Maybe there might be a registry fix, but who knows

Hopefully, I'm not sure why this is marked as solved...

The other solution is to stay on vista or xp.

Btw, this isn't a "problem" this is a preferential like.

That's not really a great solution is it? I mean, let's say you go to buy a car that's had the pedals changed around... everything is great about the car, it's efficient it runs better takes less fuel, but those damn pedals. You'd just tell them to get an older car?

For folk, like myself, who have it set to never group, using the new right click does not work. Even though it's not grouped, it's still "grouped" by program. So say I want to close all my firefox windows, I need to right click one and click close (not to mention I need to move my mouse a further distance to get to close which is awkward) then the close menu will stay there, BUT, clicking close won't close the next window, so I need to go back down to the task bar, reclick on firefox (which sometimes only closes the previous one so I'm right clicking twice) then go back to close and keep doing that.

With the classic right click menu, which has been unchanged since 95 I believe, you could right click shift a few pixels to the upper right click then just keep going, or even multi-select taskbar buttons, which I can't seem to do now to close a group of items.

For me, because I like the efficancy of 7 but not the new 'task driven' right click menu... having a perminant classic right click would be fixing a problem for me, and not just a prefrence.
