How do i apply custom icons to programes quickly?

Hello i have got a folder full of custom icons for my programes,

Whats i mean by this is for firefox icon there is a created icon to replace the current one and so on for all my programes.

I was wondering is there any way i can apply all of the icons to the programmes quickly and at once?

I have done some already manually but i came to change the skype icon but the option "change icon" is blanked out and it does not allow me to change it,

All help would be highley appriciated,

Regards Paul

Er ... no! Well that's not quite true. It's probably possible with some very complicated scripting but by the time you'd worked that all out .... well, you get the picture (no pun intended!)

If you're not able to change an icon, check that you're not trying to apply the change to the actual executable file and not the shortcut as you intend (well, I assume you intend).

The idea is great, however, the logic behind it is not sound. The amount of work to do this would be so great that there is probably no one willing to be forth the effort to write a program to so so. So, we will have to live with the way it is done presently. Albeit, I do agree it would be nice.

no program like that so far.you need to do it manually. most of the program sort of like that will be icon packager. Other than that would be icon pack that come with auto installer and that depends on the creator of the pack itself to provide it. more of them would come in png and ico extension whereby you need to install it on your own
