    Detail pane

    Hi,

This is my first thread in this forum.

I have just upgraded Vista -> 7 and Windows Explorer is driving me crazy.
    What I do is following:

    1. I choose a folder i Navigation Pane and Detail Pane is only showing File name in a narrow column.
    2. Then I customize the Detail Pane ... detail view, more columns, column width ... and so on
    3. Drag the Name column so I can see all the columns
    4. Fine ... everything looks OK
    5. Close Window Explorer and restarts it again
    6. The customization for the detail pane are there ... but the column witdth is so narrow that I only can see File name
    7. I have to drag the column witdth every time to see the other colums ... very annoying

in seven, there's no more "remember folder view option" . I don't know why they removed it. which means every time you get to that folder, you need to change it again. and out.again.

however I came across some fix but I can't confirm if this is what you want

ShellFolderFix - Manage folder window positions/size

Thanks - I didn't know that ... sounds crazy to remove "remember folder view option"
I will have a look at ShellFolderFix that you recommended :)
