    Partition Shortcut to desktop


    Hi all,
    Any chance i can place a partition shortcut to desktop?
    I want to have a c/d/e partition icon on dektop.

    Yes you can, it's easy.

    Just right click on your desktop->New->Shortcut.

    When it asks you where the shortcut should link to type <Drive Letter>:/ (eg D:/).

    Highlight the drive in Computer, then right click and "Create shortcut". That works in Vista - not certain though about Win7 because I do not currently have a running Win7 system to check it out.

    osholt's method is working. I remember trying this a few months ago. It didn't work. Now it's ok . :)

    Open "Computer", drag any partition you want to desktop...

    Edit: Late by almost an hour... (bad habit on opening tab and leaving the computer...)
