How do you assign custom icons?

I honestly searched and Didn't find anything. Really.

I have some custom .ico files that I would like to assign to my iTunes, Firefox, photoshop, etc. But how?

If this has been answered just link me to the thread. Thanks.

EDIT: Dammit. Typo in the title.

For individual icons, check out Arc's tute:

The Icons - Change Using Resource Hacker Tutorial is for system icons , but not individual but all. You may change how many system icons at once using reshacker, even all, and save the final result as imageres.dll, and replace with the original.

But changing any program icon like firefox etc are comparatively easy. Say I am changing the firefox icon : Start > all programs > Mozilla firefox > select firefox anr right click on it > properties > Change icon > browse to your custom icon location and select it > ok > apply > ok . That's all
