    Customise desktop for different users

    Hi All,
I'm new to windows. I have created user accounts for several users on my Windows 7 Home Premium box. I'd like to customise them so that each user has it's own desktop shortcuts. The trouble is that if I delete or add a desktop shortcut for a user, it seems to be deleted or added for all the other users! I'm sure I'm just missing an easy trick here, but how can I give each user their own desktop? Eg, I want to have a Sage Accounts launcher on my desktop but not my son's and I want to have a Doctor Who Adventure Game launcher on my son's desktop but not on mine.
    Many Thanks
    F

Move the shortcuts out of "Public\Desktop" this folder is hidden by default.

Are you logging into each account to set them or are you managing it from your Admin account? If you try to navigate to public folders & public desktop you'll most likely run in to that problem. If you have not logged into each account separately try that first.

Thanks. Where is that folder and if it's hidden how do I find it!

    Control panel
    Folders options
    View
    Show hidden folders
