Adding 'Downloads' folder to explorer pane.

Hey,
Is there a way to add 'Download' folder located in the user profile folder to the explorer pane without using 'Favorites'?

Hello Asdf123,

That's what the Favorites folder is for, but I suppose that you could create and use a Download Library instead to accomplish this. Other than this, it's already added to at the C:\Users\(user-name)\Downloads location, but you have to open and expand your way down to that location under the Computer group in the navigation pane.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Thanks for the reply.

The thing is, that I've removed the Favorites and Library entries in explorer pane. Now I want to create like a stickey/shortcut of 'Downloads' in the pane.

Sorry, but there's not a way to add your own group in the navigation pane like that. It can only be done by adding it in Favorites.

If you still do not want Favorites, I suppose that you could pin the Downloads folder as a Toolbar on the taskbar to make opening to it easier to do.

Taskbar - Pin or Unpin a Folder

AND/OR

You could also add "Copy to Folder" and "Move to Folder" to the context menu to make it easier to copy and move files to the Downloads folder.
