Windows 7: Program has bigger resolution than lcd on the notebook

Program has bigger resolution than lcd on the notebook

Hello. I have notebook with resolution 1280x800 and I have a program with bigist window then desktop (the program is very old, programming for platform COM, it isn't scrollbar or possibility resize). How can I change resolution to bigist on the OS Windows 7 without message out of range and desktop will by moveable and I will see the window with full size on my lcd. Thank you very muc. I'm not BFG. I know then it is somwhere into registry window. (Where?)
