explorer color scheme

This seems like something that should have a simple solutions so I feel dumb for having to ask. How do you change the color scheme for the explorer folders? I see mostly white and the bar at the top is a light blue. I've seen images of where people had dark grey, black, and a couple other colors. I'd prefer to do this without downloading or installing anything. There isn't much I feel uncomfortable doing. I just like to keep my hard drive space free to the stuff I actually need. Thanks in advance for any help.

I see an option for changing the entire scheme, but was wondering if there was away to just make the white part black or grey.

Probably going to have to get this program and just set it to a .jpg that is solid black or grey

Unfortunately I don't think its possible without a 3rd party program

If it is, other forum members, please feel free to rip me a new one

I already used that program for changing the back ground image. I just had an idea. Can I just make the thing on the side that shows favs and libraries go away?

Never mind. I figured out how to get rid of it. I'll just turn it them back on if I need to.

Use Theme

I use a dark theme called Midnight. w/Full Glass

I forgot where I found it, but just Google Windows 7 Themes and see where it takes you.

There are tons of cool themes out there that come with everything from your start buttons to WMP skins.

Easy to use and install. Just take your time. Most just require copy and paste main theme into your Windows/Resources/Themes folder. The WMP skins require replacing .dll files after taking ownership.

Good luck.
