Desktop Link in "Browse..."
I have been using Windows 7 for a few months now and LOVE IT!! I have recently noticed, however, that whenever I am called to browse for a file location there is no quick way to get to the Desktop. I can't exactly go back and look now, but when I had XP I feel like there was a button that would take me to the Desktop.
Currently, in the left explorer bar, I have options like: Favorites, Libraries, Homegroup, Computer, and Network with each having sub-directories expandable below them. Probably more often than any other place on my computer, I need to select the Desktop from this screen. (for example, selecting a location to save a file to from the internet or something similar)
Is there a way to add such a link to this page? Alternatively, is there a way to add an "Up" navigation arrow? Even without a straight to Desktop button, using this could easily get me to the same place by just clicking it several times.
For an example of what I mean, if you still don't follow me, in Windows 7 do a Windows+R to bring up the Run dialog. Then click the 'Browse...' button. This is the window I'm looking at. Also, I just noticed that the Windows Explorer in general in Win7 seems to be missing this feature. In fact, the directory navigation menu on the left bar in Windows Explorer seems to be the exact same as in the 'Browse...' dialog.
P.S. - If there is somewhere else I should be asking this, please let me know and I will be happy to try there. THANKS!!
