Seagate eSata drive not recognised by Win7 - Solved

I hope this may be of help to others. I have a dual boot XP/Windows 7 system. I have an external Seagate eSata drive that works perfectly in Windows XP but was not recognised at all by Windows 7, i.e. not shown in device manager or disk management. My motherboard is an ASUS P5N-E SLI which uses a JMicron JMB 360 SATA controller. To get the drive to work I had to install this driver

    ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/jmb36x/X...WIN7_eSATA.zip

    Now works perfectly.
