    Need Driver for my CD

    Sorry folks,

    ACER 5810T, W7 Home Premium 32.

The problem is that the system does not read CDs. Nothing happens, when I enter a CD. It is not even shown in Windows Explorer.
Running the diagnostics program that you can find in the Control Panel, the result is: "There is a problem with the CD-ROM station. The solution may be to reinstall the driver".
So I select that option, and the result was the the "device driver was not installed".
There is no CD-ROM driver in the list of drivers that ACER shows.
I try to avoid ACER Support, they charge you, you see.

If this gives a clue so one of you can point me in the right direction, I'll appreciate it.

    Hi again...
I followed the procedure that Fireberd recommended. Not much luck.
The CD-ROM station had this error: Cannot load device driver. Driver may be damaged or missing (code 39).
I uninstalled and restarted PC, got this error message: Device driver was not installed. HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GU10N.

Any help to get out there?
