UPEK Fingerprint Drivers for Build 7128 and above  

UPEK's biometric software, Protection Suite 2009, has been updated to work with the Windows 7 RC (Build 7100). However, for those of us who are adventurous enough to try the new leaked build 7127, the installation provides no support, and exits after giving a message that it is only for "builds 7168 to 7100".

Luckily for you guys, I've modified the installation package to support all builds upto 7200, and uploaded it on Rapidshare. :)

This took me a lotta pain to do, because I've never done anything of the sort, and it took a fair amount of googling and experimentation to find the right tools for the job. So if nothing else, at least give me a little rep if it comes in handy. :)

Note: This may fail to install the drivers for your fingerprint sensor. If so, just allow Windows Update to download and install the driver for you, and you'll be fine. If the sensor already has a driver installed but the Protection Suite fails to recognize it, goto Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager -> Biometric Devices, and right click on your sensor, and select Uninstall; also select the "Delete device driver" option. Then reboot, and let Windows install the sensor again, and download the driver through Windows Update.
