    Bios


    Just wondering if my BIOS are out of date as they are 2 years old ??( see pic)

    I was wondering how often BIOS are updated???

    I flashed them earlier today (easy enough) but cant tell if its been updated

    any help would be appreciated

    your bios updates are usually to address issues or improve compatibility for new hardware CPU's for example.

    each bios update will have a brief description of whats its for or what particular issue it solves if none of these apply to you and your not an overclocker then leave your bios as it is , no need to flash new

    as for knowing of your flash was sucessfull you need to look at the bios version when booting up (the black and white screen) and see if it matches the version you downloaded , looking at that screenie if the software is to be believed it seems your bios didnt update , either that or the bios file you used was already 2 years old

    If you flashed your BIOS you should see the new BIOS version.

    I guess they haven released any new versions, id checked my bios before i flashed them, thanks for the replys . I found the official site and it says -Bios version=First released. My bios chip says d686 v6, think ill leave them alone as it aint broke
