problems with marvell sata6gb drivers causing windows to bsod
Hi, was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue..I currently have a Crucial C300 64gb ssd being used as a ssd and have installed win 7 under AHCI mode on it while connected to my intel sata3gb controllers as connecting it to the marvell one would not let it complete installing windows 7.
Now that I have windows stable on the ssd, I want to make full use of its sata6gb speed on my marvell controller, but it seems that whenever i plug the ssd to it, windows boots up and is stable for 5mins before it bsods or sometimes doesnt even load into windows and hangs at the startup screen..
I have loaded the latest 1.0.0.1042-WHQL drivers for the controller and still no dice.
My motherboard is a MSI x58a-gd65 and i'm running windows pro 7 64bit. All sata controllers are on AHCI mode and have been before i installed win7.
Marvell's bios can detect my ssd everytime its connected to it, but the main issue is that Win7 when booting up on the Marvell controller constantly hangs or BSODs after a few minutes in... I'm really at a loss here and am wondering if it could be a faulty controller or driver? I have tried both Marvell 6gb ports and both produce simillar results..
Should I be concerned that the marvell driver is located in program files x86 instead of the normal program files directory?
Also I have read some suggestions to reinstall windows while connected to the marvell port but I am unable to get windows 7 to recognise my marvell drivers in the usb slot if i click browse for drivers at a fresh install...
Any help would REALLY REALLY be appreciated
