    Unknown Driver Problem?


    In Device Manager I have something called AAAVEU0C IDE Controller the device status is Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). I do not know what driver I need to download to solve this problem and can not work out which one I need.

    I have gave you the Hardware ID's if that is any help.

    Are you using Daemon or other Virtualization software.

    Hi mjwilson94,

    The problem is your Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) controller. Install the latest drivers of your motherboard.

hi so if i go into device manager and under other devices, theres a driver there that says unknown device. how do i fix this? it wont let me update, and when i uninstall it, it shows back up after reboot. btw this is a fresh install of 7 thanks!

people today when i restarted my pc it said its installing a driver - then it said it failed and the driver is called UnKnown Device aND when i look at device manager it says in Universal Serial Bus Controllers that the driver is called Unknown Device and got a problem ???!!! any help?
I've been getting the BSOD from every which way and think I have most all of it taken care of (Norton's is a nasty, nasty piece of work).
