Unless you can find updated
drivers for your Acer Aspire on their site, and your not having any issues with your laptop I would leave it as is.
OEM manufactuerers have a reputation of making modifications to their
drivers so they are specific to your model.
I would also like to add before you do any updating of
drivers read the release notes and see if they address a problem your having or add options not already avalible to you. Like with your Realtek sound
driver.
It's also in my opinion a good idea to create a restore point before installing any new
driver(s) or programs, so if you don't want the program or the new
driver creates an issue you can easily uninstall it then restore back to where you were before you tried to update. Fabe
