Ok this is strange, if ANYONE can help with this it would save me heart ache! I am running Win 7 Home 64 bit on 4 computers! ( 3 Laptops 1 Desktop ) I purchased a HP Color Laserjet 2025 DN printer. Installed it on the network and when I go to ADD Printers in control panel it finds the HP installs the HP
driver from Win 7 and all is fine! On 3 systems. It shows the HP logo and EVEN shows me the actual printer in the icon. ( picture in control panel of the actual 2025 printer) Now, here is the ISSUE! I installed a SSD in my NEW system re installed the OS from the restore disks, I go to install the printer like I did on the other 3 computers and it installs a different generic
driver the icon doesnt look like the printer it is a generic picture of a printer and this
driver doesnt show the HP logo! Win 7 is compltetly updated before I installed the printer. They are ALL running win 7 64 bit and 3 are OK but the desktop shows generic driver, not HP and when compared to the other laptops they are different and the desktop doesnt show the pic of the 2025 printer! I went to HP website and downloaded their
drivers and STILL the same thing! WHY would this happen? Win 7 has the
drivers installed but this time around it is different in the last system! Now before I installed the SSD , it was the same as the other 3 computers! I used the factory recovery disks to install the OS so it is the same as the old OS on the regular hard drive. ANY HELP would be great! I just want the SAME
drivers that the other 3 systems have and have the pic icon in control panel that shows the HP printer! Thanks in advance!!!!
