    long boot time... maybe drivers...

    hello all...

i am having problems with the boot time of my laptop... it was a 50 sec bootup time from a fresh install but now, every single screen of the startup takes a very long time...

like the black screen after bios - 4 color balls to Starting Windows - black screen - green wallpaper without Welcome - green wallpaper with Welcome - desktop screen...

i tolerated a 2 min bootup before even though i know i have the Intel Core i5 processor... but now, it just takes so much time to startup like 5 to 10 min or so...

of course, I did some research and did some solutions which helped for a short time...
    1. I already unloaded programs for startup from the msconfig such that they can mirror the default settings of a fresh win7 install...
    2. I also automated the Intel(R) Turbo Boost from services.msc to hasten the bootup...

but now, the problem persists... i figured that it must be the drivers... so here is the list of the unloaded drivers...

    ...
    Did not load driver \SystemRoot\SysWow64\Drivers\Mpfp.sys
    ...
    Loaded driver \??\C:\Windows\system32\drivers\UBHelper.sys
    Loaded driver \??\C:\Windows\system32\drivers\NTIDrvr.sys
    ...
    Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\vga.sys
    ...
    Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\NDProxy.SYS
    Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\NDProxy.SYS
    Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\NDProxy.SYS
    Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\NDProxy.SYS
    ...
    Did not load driver \SystemRoot\System32\DRIVERS\srv.sys

I hope anyone can help me.... thanks!!!

Does it take long in safe mode?

    Have you run your antivirus?
Have you downloaded and made a scan with malwarebytes (highly recommended), run the full scan and updated definitions before scanning.

If this doesn't work you may need to do a repair install Repair Install Fabe

well... i haven't run in safe mode...

my anti-virus is a McAffee, but ever since I updated it, I can no longer find it... I did not uninstall it though... it just disappeared like a bubble at the next startup... i tried to run it ('cause i can still see it from the start-menu) but nothing happens... so... do you recommend other free AVs?

and for the Repair Install, I do not have an installation DVD of my Win7... I only have the recovery disks which my brother made when i got the laptop... (yeah, he made them...)...

It could not just disappear It is not good to have 2 antivirus running at the same time. Be sure that it cannot be found. Go to search, by the start button and type the name Mcafee and see if it appears. If it does not. Right click on the task bar on the bottom of the screen, get the task manager and under the process tab make sure there is no Mcafee. If not download and use Microsoft Security Essentials.
If it actually is gone, it sounds like some sort of awful virus or something that I never heard of. Keep us posted.

so... i was looking for McAfee but the only result is a mcAfee Security Center... Clicking on it doesn't do a thing... so i uninstalled it to make sure its existence is erased in the universe of my laptop... I then downloaded the MSSE as recommended... since it automatically updates itself upon installation and QUICK scans my system after that, i should be doing fine following your instructions then...

i tried to help myself too... here is what i did...
    1. i also did an sfc /SCANNOW at the cmd Run as Admin... i am not able to finish though because i stop at 54%...
    2. i tried the verification option which produced a 15Mb file which i opened and didn't understand...
    3. i then tried the scanfile option with the driver files that failed to be loaded (see the first post)... with that, cmd says "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation"...
    4. i then tried it to the other drivers that were loaded and cmd says... "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations"... so it was ok then... except those that happened on #3...

at least, i really hope that this should help you as to what causes my long bootup time...

i will also be trying to do a clean boot... i'll keep you posted... i'll also be waiting for suggestions... thanks to all!!!

I'm also the one who posted on another thread: Intel(R) & NVIDIA driver booty

as recommended, doing a clean boot did not help much... actually, it didn't really help... bootup time is really long...

safe mode took a long time at the driver called CLASSPNP.SYS...

so what do i do now?

That is a MS driver, not one to replace. Lets try to fix

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

sorry about the double posts... people can forgive me here right? i did that from the thought that it might solve the problem one at a time... but i guess i'm nearly giving up...

so... i updated my vga driver with the latest Intel(R) HD Graphics and restarted my laptop... now, i'm in safe mode but only in command prompt because safe mode with the desktop interface took a very very long time, i shut my laptop down with the power button... so now, i'm in safe mode command prompt... did the sfc /scanfile to the classpnp.sys and cmd says "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations... did the sfc /scannow but i stop at 54%... not that i forced it to stop with the Ctrl+C, cmd says "Windows Resource Monitor could not perform the requested operation." now it's just C:\Windows\system32>

    what should i do now?

*sorry if i'm very demanding of you
