thanks... but i don't have the installation DVD... my laptop didn't come with that; the seller told just told me that i have to make the recovery disks first... so i only have recovery disks...
i can still make my laptop boot to the PQService partition using the F8, which (they say) comes with the Acer laptops... is this partition or the recovery disks gonna do the job?
Here is a link to the acer recovery options. You can probalby fix the problem by restoring to an earlier time. Be aware that all of your "stuff" will be lost back up everything first.

nevertheless, i can still boot to the PQService partition using the F8 key... it contains the default factory settings, as they say for Acer laptops... but whenever i ran the recovery management from there, the only options are to
1. format C drive then fresh install a win7 (which i did so many times already because of this problem)
2. do 1 but put previous win7 as backup at a folder somewhere...
i mostly did #1 but my laptop just went slow on #2... i didn't see any progress on #2 so i just use #1...
i'm at school right now, btw... and i don't have the recovery disks on hand ... only the partition (which is inside the laptop) haha...
will the recovery be enough?
If a fresh install did not help, the recovery probably will not either.
Let me research and will return when I have something definitive.
That classpnp.sys, seems to be fairly common in Google, but no solution.
i mean, a fresh install always helps... but the downside is that all the settings and installations i did will be gone... my laptop becomes fast again after that... ~50sec until the desktop screen... then another minute for my laptop to become usable... well, mostly my laptop is usable almost immediately after the desktop screen shows up...
so for your recommendation, i'll be formatting my laptop... my installers are in my D drive so i can just do them again... it's just that i did this so many times already and the same problem comes out... i googled some stuff too but no solution... i hope you can find something! thanks!
oh btw, is it possible to just download the Win7, burn it on a CD, and boot on it, so that i can run that repair install? my win7 is build 7600... i saw this from safe mode...

Where do you just download 7. I do not know how to do it legally without purchase? So I will not discuss that isssue. Anyway, if a clean install did not help a repair will not either.
I will research and get back when I come up with something new.

i still found this thread, and i'm not yet giving this laptop up... so i'm continuing this...
just so you know... the problem reoccured again... now i have a fresh install of win7 again... yeah... it's been a waste of time... maybe this info can help solve this problem: the programs i normally install after a fresh install are:
1. Google Chrome
2. Foxit Reader (pdf)
3. Yahoo! Messenger
4. Magic Disc (for virtual drives) (McAffee detects the Daemon Tools as trojan so I found an alternative)
5. VLC media player
6. Adobe Creative Suite 4
7. WxWidgets DevCpp (for academic stuffs... hey, i'm still in college!)
8. Batman: Arkham Asylum
so.. any new info?
