hp scanner problems  

hi all, I have an hp psc 2355 printer and I'm running on windows 7 home prem x 64, I wonder if anyone can help me resolve the scanner driver problems, the printer works fine but no matter what I do i cannot get the scanner to work, this is a new computer, my previous (now dead) computer ran on XP and the everything worked fine, thanking you all in anticipation. now sorted see bottom reply

I downloaded the full feature under the vista because it did'nt give me that option under win 7, I am so close to resolving this but am unsure how to get the solution centre and the hp imaging device, any suggestions, once again many thanks

now you are so close, did you install in compatibility mode Compatibility Mode also have a look at this Drivers - Install Vista Drivers on Windows 7

Another thing to do after you put something in to be scanned, is open Devices and Printers, hover over the printer that's checked, then at the top, click on 'start scanner'.
