Windows 7: loud speaker is not working

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
 
 
loud speaker is not working

i'm using dell xps m1330 model laptop

recently i installed windows7 32bit, after the installation my loud speaker is not working
but i can hear through earphone

my sound driver is high definition audio driver i updated that
i didnt find any problem with driver

how can i solve this problem

in my device manager there are two basic system device without drivers error code 28

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc

Can you try another port. (Is this lappy or desktop)
Can you test with another speaker.

You will find things happen in such a way to throw you off the track. It may not be the OS.

Are your headphones USB or do they connect via the onboard sound card ??
