    Removing VIA V-Raid Platform Driver

I removed this controller card and replaced it with one of a totally different brand/type, and now I need to remove the old driver. However, when I try to do so with Programs And Features, the wizard that appears has the option to remove it grayed out. How do I get rid of it?

Assuming you have a slot available, have you tried putting the old card back in and then try uninstalling?

That is the problem, I don't have an empty slot.

Well, it won't uninstall whether the card is installed or not. I assume this is because of corruption of the installer file. When this sort of thing happens, what does one do...simply delete the driver/program directory?
